Zentangle 101

If your New Year plans include doing something creative and then immediately overthinking it, this class was made for you. Zentangle is a structured drawing method built from simple patterns. You don’t need art experience, talent, or confidence going in. I’ll teach the basics clearly and at a comfortable pace, and we’ll build a finished piece together as we go. This is a two hour Zentangle 101 class. We’ll cover how the Zentangle Method works, learn several foundational patterns, and talk about how people actually use this as a regular creative practice, not just a one-off class.
I’m Kelly Barone, a Certified Zentangle Teacher for over a decade. In December, I taught my 5,000th student, which still kind of surprises me considering how many people walked in convinced they “couldn’t draw.”
The class online class is  $20 and does not include supplies, but they are simple and easily accessible. If you're local and prefer to join me in person you can sign up for that class as well, which does include supplies.

This class is a pre-requisite for nearly all other Zentangle classes I offer as it provides history, basic language and the "core" of Zentangle.
